Volunteer Hangout at Christie Pits Park

Hi Fair Vote Toronto supporters,

Summer is here and with it comes an opportunity for democratic reform advocates to get together in the park!

Our team will be hosting a social hangout at Christie Pits Park next Wednesday, July 19th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM for PR supporters and volunteers alike!

The park has public washrooms and picnic tables, as well as a rain shelter which is where we’ll meet (circled in red in the photo below). Please bring your own snacks and refreshments.

If it does happen to rain on Wednesday, we will meet the next day, Thursday, July 20th at the same time. If it rains Thursday as well, we will organize a date in August for another park hang. If in doubt, feel free to call or text me at (807) 355-1676.

Hope to see you all there!

Best regards,

Marc Gasparotto

Pride Festival Volunteer Recap

What a weekend it was for Fair Vote Toronto at the city’s Pride Festival this year! Fifteen volunteers gave their time over the weekend to help engage attendees in conversations about Proportional Representation and how we can build a stronger, more inclusive democracy together.

Our efforts made quite an impact as over 400 people signed our “Declaration of Voters’ Rights”! Quite a few people were interested in getting involved with our local chapter so look out for some new faces in the months ahead.

Our team at Fair Vote Toronto would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out this weekend. We really appreciate the time each and every one of you spent with us…from set-up to tear-down our presence would not have been the same without you.

Congrats on a successful Pride everyone!!
